Canadian native J.P. Auclair began skiing at the age of five. Since then he has become a freeski pioneer. He helped Salomon launch the 1080 ski in 1998, and was nominated for Skier of the year at the NEA awards in 2000. He was also voted best segment for video "The Game", in 2000. The following year, he was nominated for skier of the year at the ESPN Action Sports and Music Awards, in Los Angeles. J.P became the Co-founder of Armada skis in 2002.
